Sickness becometh me

I had to get someone to work for me today, because the last two days I have shot just about every bodily fluid out of my ass. I'm eating cereal right now to see if I'm done being sick or I'm just on empty. I hope I'm done.

I was trying to remember the last time I missed a day of work from being sick. I seriously cannot. While working paper jobs, I wasn't able to miss work, and that was 7 days a week. I remember when I was working at the daycare in like 2005 I had to miss a few days from pink eye. But, that's seriously, the last time I remember. I'm sure there has to be another time in there somewhere. I never get sick. When I do, it's usually pretty bad. Luckily, last nite, I started to develop a fever, but drank a ton of water and warded it off I think. The water didn't stay in my system long, but I guess it did the trick. I haven't really had any other symptoms. The first day, I had a headache and some body pain, but the 2nd day it was just continual visits to the porcelain palace.. except it wasn't any bowing going on. Hmm, a bit of blasphemy to the porcelain god? Oh well.

Guy at work is reading my blog now...Hello James.. if you see this.

Makes me a little nervous, but James is a good guy (obligated to say that, obv)

Fantasy football is right around the corner. I'm afraid I'm not going to be prepared. I've never been as busy as I am right now. The last few years, it seems like I've had less and less time to devote to it, but it's supposed to be a hobby, not a lifestyle, right? I still love sports, but i see people who are like I used to be; watching sportscenter reruns during the day, reading every newspaper article, listening to sports talk radio.. and it's just like.. wow what a waste of time. To each his own obviously. I'd say most people get so involved in sports news and information because they need to escape their lives. It's no different then those that are all obsessed with celebrities and that stuff. I don't think I could ever get that involved again. My fanhood definitely isn't what it used to be.

So, I'm a little excited about poker again. At least watching it on TV. I found out someone great did well at this year's WSOP and is at the Final Table of the Main Event. I don't wanna ruin it for anyone, so if you wanna know, simply go to any poker site and it'll say. I would love to be able to play some poker again, just casually, but no money. It's all good. With the little amount of time I'd have to play, I prolly wouldn't play right anyways. The last time I tried I kept just playing headsup and we all know what happens when you do that with a short bankroll.

I thought I'd be going out of town this upcoming week. I got a text message from my boss saying that I was going to be going to the High Performance General Manager class, hosted by Corporate Domino's. IT's a class where they basically super train you and cover a bunch of shit over a two day period, that you can't get elsewhere. It's like $195. A few weeks ago, my boss was telling me that she was trying to talk the mgmnt group into sending 4 of us from the company. So, she tells me that and i'm like, uh, I think that's in Indianapolis. So, my wife's freakin out a little bit and I'm like, damn, I have no money, this sucks. So I go online and find out it's actually in Los Angeles. DOH! Then, I'm like, wait are they paying for the plain ticket and everything. I tried to call my boss, but she didn't answer. Then I remembered I actually have court next week on the same day. Talk about craziness. So, I called them to see what my options were and they told me I could just pay an extra 125$ and wouldn't have to show up. (apparently my bond was more than I owe, and they actually owed me money). Well, I finally get a hold of my boss and find out they are actually have a corporate guy come to st. louis, because my franchisee is sending 20 gms, to the class. Phew. I was afraid I'd have to turn it down.

So, I get to go to this class on tuesday and wednesday and it should allow me to make it to court and so, I'll then be getting some money back from St. Louis County. I get paid for the 2 days as well. So, it's pretty sweet. I'm excited. I've wanted to take this class ever since I was an assistant manager.

Next post is my 400th post. That's pretty nuts. I remember starting this blog and it doesn't seem like that long ago. Maybe I'll go through some posts again and count the number of times my life changed since I began.
