I've decided i have an opportunity to make more money and build my bankroll faster by playing sit n goes instead of 10NL hold em. I started today. I played for a total of 1 1/2 hours which equaled 20 turbo sngs. I made about 60 dollars in doing so. I know enough to not expect these kind of results everyday, but its a good start.
Not much else going on this monday. I started playing Lord of the Rings Online, but I'll try not to post any LOTRO messages on my blog. However, if you play let me know what your name is and we can hang out on there. (I know, I know, "NERD ALERT". oh well)
For my records:
Poker day
Time played: 90 minutes
SNGs Played: 20 6.50 turbo sngs
Amount made: $64
Bankroll: $227

Hands: 936
Total in/out: $-4.55
Bankroll: $177
Good thing i get rakeback. Otherwise, it seems like a wasted 900 hands of poker.

Thinking about my future 1
It's always hard for me to think about picking 1 thing to focus on in my life or as my career. I'm one of those people that isn't GREAT at anything, but I'm pretty good at a lot of things. For instance, I'm a pretty artistic person. It runs in my family and I attended an Art Middle and High school. Throughout those years I was in Art (drawing/painting), Photography, Radio, Band, Mass Media (writing/journalism/video recording), I even spent a little time crafting small metals. I enjoyed every one of these pursuits. But I was never great an any of them and I don't know how much I would enjoy doing 1 of them for my entire life. I've been on stage a lot in my life. I was in Jazz Band, Orchestra Band, I've hosted Talent Shows, I've read speeches, etc. I enjoyed the attention that received and the power of that position. I also enjoy things like running fantasy leagues, hosting sports parties, making lists, basic math things, reading both fiction and non fiction, and many other things. Sometimes, I think I'd like to be a teacher, the only thing is I can never think of what type of teacher i would be. I don't know what subject i could teach. I know if I was a teacher I would want to teach High School students. But even if I did pursue that career, I would need alot of schooling and right now the only schooling I have is in Early Care and Education. I was a Preschool teacher for 3 years after high school. I got burnt out on that. I thought that was going to be my career, but it didnt happen.
I've actually had 15+ jobs in my life, since I was 13. Most of those jobs were for 1 month or less, becuase if I had a job i didnt like i quit, plain and simple. This will likely turn into a series of posts, since its the main purpose of my blog. If you have any suggestions or ideas, please post a message in the comments section.

Blogs are Stupid
I've had my wife and my brother read my blog and the first thing they both said has been "why are you doing a blog. Blogs are stupid." Well, ok, thanx for the constructive criticism. So, the answer i came up with was, "why not?" I enjoy reading other peoples blogs. At pokerdynasty.net we have a very active forum with about a dozen members who post multiple entries a day and a few members have a daily blog. I read all of theirs and look forward to new entries. So, i thought i would go ahead and make my own. So what if no one will read it. I honestly don't care. I mean I'd like people to read it and find something interesting in it, but ultimately it's something I'm doing for myself. A blog can help you regulate certain areas of your life much like a journal would. I have kept journals at different times in my life and enjoyed doing so. Therefore, doing a blog can become an extension of that. Also, I want a documented way to keep me from doing stupid things with my poker bankroll. It will be nice to have something that i can look back on and see what I've done or how I've felt. So for those that say blogs are stupid, I say "So what." I've never cared about what anyone has thought about what I do or what I like, why start now. You can post comments about my entries on my page. If you have a blog you would like to share, post your address under the comments section and I will be happy to become a frequent visitor of your blog. I have a lot of time in my life, I might as well spend it on something i enjoy and something that i believe is productive.
I am so tired
I didn't get home until 8 am this morning. I was asked to do 2 routes at my job last nite. Im too nice sometimes. I woke up at 1:30 pm tired as hell, but decided to get up and watch the NFL Draft. Woke up in time to watch the St. Louis Rams draft Grant Wistrom again. Man I wanted Brady Quinn. Why am I awake? I must be a glutton for punishment. ARG!
First bad day of poker in a week
Well i played some poker today. I am currently playing 10NL on fulltilt under the name flammpoker. I've had 8 straight days of winning and had my first losing day today. It was a bummer. When you're on a good winning streak you feel like it can last forever. But days like this are expected.
I also went out to the bar with my wife and her brother. I've never understood how people can spend so much time at a bar. I was pretty bored the whole time and only stayed for about 2 hours. Plus I have to work tonite so I can't really get drunk.
BTW, i am a newspaper delivery person for PCF. A company that distributes the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, and 3 other small papers. I work about 3 hours a nite leaving at 1 am and getting home at about 5 am six days a week. Its easy and it pays well. Hopefully, its just a pit stop that will allow me to get back into what I want to do with my life. Not exactly sure what that is yet, but thats what this blog is for.
Poker Stats:
bankroll: 180
Hands played today: 2062
Amount made: - $48.50

It has Begun
This blog will be used to document my thoughts on everything that goes on in my life, an escape from reality, a place to vent, to share my views on current events, to post results of my poker career, and ultimately to help me discover who I am and what I will become. It will be a journey not for the faint of heart or the weak willed. If history has shown me anything it is that Flamm's do not succeed. We are like a fly that embarks on his journey to find a place in life only to be squashed down by a giant fly swatter. We are dreamers and risk takers. Naturally, we fall on our face a lot in our pursuits. Broken and torn, some Flamms have been able pick themselves up and try again. But in the end the result is the same and they become tired and forgotten. Until the day comes in which a Flamm can break through and conquer the unchartered territory that so many have fallen short of reaching, nothing will change. This is my journey. This is my burden. Please bear witness to the rise into prosperity or the fall into nothingness, for some day this story will be complete and a purpose be reached. Welcome to The Flamm.
